Maersk and MSC to discontinue 2M Alliance in 2025
Maersk and MSC, two of the world’s largest shipping companies, will discontinue their 2M Alliance in 2025. The 2M Alliance was established in 2015 as a strategic partnership, aimed at providing a more efficient and cost-effective shipping solution. However, the companies will end the alliance to better respond to changing market demands and provide greater flexibility in their operations. They will continue to cooperate on various projects and remain committed to providing high-quality service to their customers. The discontinuation of the alliance will have a significant impact on the shipping industry.

Which Freight Mart branch are you at? Perth Head Office.
Which year did you join Freight Mart International? 2015
Favourite/Go to Snack Food? Salt and Vinegar chips.
Pets? Yes I have a Golden Retriever called Indie.
What do you do in your spare time? Spend time with my kids, read books, scroll the internet, and watch TV.
Sports – Playing or watching – both or neither? Love watching.
Most used App? Instagram.
What was your first paying job? I worked in a Fish and Chip shop when I was 15.
Who inspires you? My dad, who has been in a wheelchair since he was 21, inspires me everyday. He is still wheeling around and fit at age 70.
Biggest Fear? Failure.
When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up? A flight attendant.
Favourite Books, Movie or TV shows? I love crime/thriller novels. My favourite TV show at the moment would have to be Yellowstone.
Coffee or tea? Coffee everyday, no exceptions!
What is your most prized possession? I’d say my children – twins Hannah and Harry who are 3 years old.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be? I already have superpowers – I’m a working mum to twins!
Do you have a secret talent? The ability to handle a few tequila shots.
What is your workout song? Anything with a beat that I can move quickly to.
What’s the top destination on your must-visit list? The Maldives.
What’s your most-used emoji? The black love heart emoji.

Australia Women’s U18 Division II-A – Gold Medallists
Congratulations to Perth Inferno’s Molly Lukowiak and Sophie Reader who won gold at the 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, Division II, Group A, GREAT BRITAIN, Dumfries in January 2023. The U18 Australian team will now advance to the IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I, Group B in 2024.
Freight Mart International are proud sponsors of the Perth Inferno and would also like to congratulate players Michelle Clark-Crumpton, Isla Malcolm, Sasha King, Marina Nottle and Molly Lukowiak on their selection to the National Women’s team. The Australian women’s ice hockey team secured the silver medal on 26th February 2023, in the World Championships, Division II – Group B, in Cape Town, South Africa.
News from the Customs Department
Luke and his wife Nicole welcomed a new addition into their family last month.
Ava Perer was born at 6:50am on the 5th of February.
Mum and bub are doing well and big sister Riley is over the moon to have a little sister.

Anna Ang, our Account Manager visited our Malaysian team
Our company’s Account Manager, Anna Ang, from our Perth head office recently visited Malaysia. Her visit was a significant event for the local Malaysia team as it provided a valuable opportunity for them to learn from her experience and insights.
During her visit, Anna met with the team to discuss department planning, goals, team collaboration and performance. The team was impressed by Anna’s enthusiasm, planning and dedication, which left a positive impact on the team’s mindset. Overall, the visit was a success and will contribute significantly to the ongoing training, support, and growth of our accounting department.
